Drove to Cardiff from Manchester especially for this gig and it did not disappoint! This was the 1st time I have seen the boys live and I will be definitely seeing them again. Shame about the bottle throwing but well done fellas for playing on.

KOL play longer

Wow what am amazing performance yet again from KOL. This is my third gig this year and I have to say that Cardiff is not the only gig where beer throwing antics have taken place! Lincoln seemed far worse to me. It does spoil the night a little and I think is totally disrespectful to the band and the fans.
My highlights of the night have to be knocked up (hearing all the fans singing along was so amazing), and the fact they played 30 minutes longer than at other gigs I've been to earlier this year, that really was a surprise.
Hope this set is the same as the one to be played at Hull in November, I'm looking forward to catching the guys there too.

What a fantastic performance and well done lads for carrying on playing through the bottle incidents.
This was my first major gig I'd been to in a while and it was spectacular,we travelled over from Somerset to see it.We were up on the balcony to the right of the stage and even though there were idiots up there that shouldnt have been it was a great night.
The band played all the old favourites and a good choice from the current album.Even Caleb's new hair do wasnt all that bad!
The support band Snowden were excellent as well and got the crowd going ready for KOL.
All in all a fantastic night and I cant wait for the next one!

The same as stated above, so disapointing for those wankers who thought they would act like children. Me and my sister are from Cardiff and have been to see the kings at Plymouth. Despite those idiots you guys are amazing beyond believe please do not think that this is the way people from Cardiff act. Me and my sis waited outside to spot the absolutely sexy Caleb(we are not groupies i promise), saw him pass us very slowly in his Taxi(and he gave us a lovely big grin), then 2 seconds later i pulled the ligaments in my left foot from excitment and had to hobble to a bar and get pissed to forget the pain. So worth it even though i cannot walk and will take upto 8 weeks to heel. Hopefully see you guys very soon Luv ya!

KOL show and proved how to rise above the emptyheads....

At last! I'm able to air my anger and dissappointment for the behaviour of the emptyheaded minority at the CIA gig last thursday. As the like minded real music followers have already stated, what was the beer glass/bottle throwing at the band early on all about!!?? Their was none of that crap the last time KOL were here. I am from cardiff and it made me feel real bad that the band had to experience that crap. Nathan Followill-what you said was spot on fella.I suppose the people responsible could've been from anywhere(people travel to gigs from all over I guess)but I just hope the band don't remember cardiff for that early rubbish!Big respect and thankyou to KOL for seeing through the nonsense, rising above and giving an awesome performance-so tight-from the heart-somehow even better than the records-a real good mix and balance of all three albums, you guys keep getting better all the time.See you at the Reading festival soon....thanks for playing The Beat and Silversun Pickups before you came on too! This was the first Kings gig my wife and I had been to despite being fans for years now (oh, he shame, I know).
It was, however, one of the most absofreakinglutely mind-blowing performances we have ever seen. The energy, the vibe, the skill and the passion of the band for their music was nothing short of concussive and we were reeling in the unfettered waves of power of the Kings threw at us. I don't think I've ever seen a band so "tight", so, so... flawless... Could this be due to their ties of kinship?...
It may be slightly heretical to say this, but the live performance was the perfection of what they have wrought in their recorded work - the extra dimension to the live music was clear and distinct and glorious, raising the audience into rock rapture. Well done too to the production team, especially the lighting - outstanding guys - "Four Kicks" (my personal highlight of the night) felt like one had been dragged into blood splattered, high-octane, red-strobe nightmare reminiscent of the video we love so much.
I too, like the previous correspondents, must mention my anger and disappointment at the bottle throwing [bad word removed]wits in the audience. If the guys had walked off stage, I think that most of the real fans would have completely understood and beaten the greasy, godforsaken shit outta the culprits. But to their total credit, professionalism and sheer clanging balls of chrome, the band played on. Seriously guys, thanks you.
The venue, however, must take a big share of the blame really for selling glass bottles of beer in the arena - come on people, a bit of common sense, please! A handful of pissed up chavs and a stack of glass missiles are a recipe to ruin anyone's night. I was warmed by the crowd's appreciation of the band's succinctly put warnings. Things mostly calmed down after that.
Anyway, that stuff could not put a downer on what for us will be one of the most memorable experiences of my life and needless to say we will be seeing the Kings of Leon as soon as we can again.
Just one last thing - did anyone catch the name of the support act? I was very impressed - I'll keep an eye out for them...

(Some) CIA fans let themselves down (again)...KOL rise above it

We saw KOL in Plymouth and they were amazing! The sound was deafening (i had ringing in my ears for two days!) and the venue was like a giant mosh-pit. We were a bit worried that the CIA wouldn't live up to it. We were wrong to be worried! KOL were amazing; they sound effortlessly good. Band seemed to play for longer than at Plymouth and, although the crowd weren't as up for it (total shame about the losers throwing beer - CIA has always got a few chav idiots present and they let Wales down (again!)) the sound was a lot better. Can't wait till the next time we see them. And we're both buying shocking pink vests just like Caleb wore. By the way, Black Thumbnail is probably the best gig-opening song ever written. "DON'T LEAVE NO SMELL ON ME...!"

KoL storm the CIA

What an amazing gig! KoL are real musicians who play with an intensity and passion that's hard to beat. BUT, if the CIA was full of genuine fans why do some of them think it's OK to bombard the band and fellow fans with full beer bottles? What a great impression of Welsh fans the band must have!! I'm seeing them again in December so we'll see how the Brighton fans receive them.
Well done you twats who let us all down. And well done to KoL for not walking off as threatened, but if you had I wouldn't have blamed you.
My covers band do a couple of KoL numbers - now I want them to do more!!!

Kings of Cardiff

Kings of Leon have a very unique talent that enables them to sound even better live than they do on cd, and that is saying something.
The guys simply rocked the Arena from start to finish. Being such a tight band they didn't have to run around and perform they simply let their driving guitars and Caleb's unique voice blow everyone away.
One of the best gig's I have ever been too.
Long may the reign.
