Wednesday, April 16, 2008 - 5:00 pm - jmoon17
I had never heard of the kings of Leon before my group and i passed by while they were playing on the main stage. they were nothing short spectacular! ever since they have been rocking my stereo daily. even my mom loves them! KOL please try to attend this years bonnaroo, i'm bringing a large crew all the way from wyoming and i don't think they could get the full bonnaroo experience without the kings of leon helping to make it!

You had to be there...

I have seen pretty much every band at one time or another, ranging from Alice in Chains, to Black Sabbath, to Neil Young & Crazy Horse. All were remarkable in their own way. On this particular day in Manchester Tennessee, I might have had the best concert experience of my life! This was my first time seeing KOL and hopefully not my last. I just cannot get this show out of my head. A beautiful sunny day, a great crowd, and one hell of a great band, simply left me at a loss for words. You had to be there to understand the magic of this show. To be quite honest, I hadn't ever really given this band a chance, and now I am so glad that they were a part of Bonnaroo. The technical problem made it even more memorable. The band just kept right on playing, and when the sound came back, the singer said in a modest tone, "I don't know what that was." I don't know when the last time was that I have seen anyone sing with so much feeling and soul. The rain shower was a welcome moment during the set, and I remember the singer/rhythem guitarist saying at one point, "I don't know how this happened, but we are on the main stage at Bonnaroo." The reason it happened is because this is one heartfelt band destined for rock & roll fame. KOL deserved to be on the main stage, and were most defintitely one of the best performances of Bonnaroo 2007!

stellar performance, solid, and presice. First time seeing them, waited for an hour to get a good seat. Definately worth it. Just downloaded a recording of the show and can't stop listening to it.

Felt so good!

This also was my first time seeing KOL live although I've had their albums forever. Seeing them live fails in comparison to listening to them over your iPod and I'm just hoping to see you guys again and again! When sound was lost, everyone kept on singing so it was no biggie. One of the best performances of the day. It felt like I was watching a band that'll make history one day. My kids will be like,"You saw KoL!?" Yep, I sure did!

still thinkin' bout it!!

This was also my first time to see them and i cant wait to see them again!! I still have it fresh on my mind and the whole group of people i went with agreed it was one of the top 3 best performances and highlights of the festival. And the "little problem" was not a problem at all and just proved that they would keep rockin'no matter what-it was great-wonderful-awesome!! PLEASE COME TO THE EAST COAST MORE!!!

awesome!!!

This was the first time I have seen Kings Of Leon! I have been waiting to seem them for the past two years, but every opportunity hasn't worked out. I attended to Boston show, but KOL cancelled. Thankfully I went to Bonnaroo, was in the third row for KOL, and was absolutely blown away. They are destined to become the new gods of the rock world. Great sound (with the exception of a slight problem for one song), awesome setlist, and I coudn't think of a better way to kick off the main stage peformances for the weekend! Thanks for a great set guys!
