How the hell can this show have a 4-star rating? Aside from the fact that the only band I really liked was the Kings and they didn't play, the show was a COMPLETE LET-DOWN. The sound system was so bad that during Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, all you could hear was bass and a little bit of his screechy voice. Not Good.

Then Bloc Party goes on - they were actually pretty good, but again, due to the ridiculous sound setup (they have bigger - and much newer - amp stacks INSIDE Avalon), you could hardly hear the music.

To top it off, all the rest of the bands played inside the clubs (to those of you who don't know, this show was a large music festival taking place outside on Landsdowne st. which was closed off for the event). The problem is, there were WAY more people there on the street than could fit into the clubs. They were all filled to capacity before Bloc Party even finished.

So, in summary, thanks a lot WFNX for sponsoring a horribly mis-managed turd-festival. Honestly, I'm almost actually glad the Kings didn't play because the setup was so bad that people who haven't seen them before would've had a terrible first taste of their live shows. Meh. Up yours WFNX.

Nada

I went to this "block party" only to see KOL and apparently they were too ill to play.
I really hope they can work out coming back to Boston.

Cancelled :(

I had bought the festival tickets only because of Kings of Leon... and they did not perform.
They said that Caleb got a 104 degrees fever... get well man!
I hope you guys find some other date to come to Boston in your current tour.
