about me

Kings Of Leon are my very favorite band and I'd go anywhere to see them again! I think they're a brilliantly talented and seemingly grounded bunch. I'd love to be a cog in the machine that gets them booking a concert here in Edmonton, although my efforts have failed thus far....(that was then, this is now...they're coming in August/09. I totally made it happen! - LOL)
Aside from Kings Of Leon I love Jeff Buckley and enjoy The Dudes, City And Color, Prince, Big Sugar, Johnny Lang, Radiohead, Nick Drake, Starsailor, Paolo Nutini, Powderfinger, Bob Marley, The Police, Alice In Chains, Live, Peter Gabriel, Led Zepplin, Big Wreck, Etta James, Lenny Kravitz, Foo Fighters, The Tragically Hip, Maxwell, Incubus, Out Hud, Róisín Murphy, The Roots, Timbaland and the list goes on. As much as I love to rock or enjoy the mellow stuff, I dig the funky sh*t that makes you just wanna shake your a$$! lol

That sure is spooky when something like that happens. U always no when a band has arrived when they keep playing their songs in the background of the weekly soaps. We have had KOL 4 ages now playing in the pubs, cafes, laundrettes in our TV programmes. I bet they would be delighted - NOT.
I am hoping I won't be hobbling quite so badly tomorrow. The girls have offered 2 carry me, which would be quite amusing as I think everyone would assume we were drunk. HA HA!!!! I shall be OK as long as it isn't a long walk fm the Tube Station.
So u like 2 do a bit of the old karoke then - my US neighbour always wants me 2 play guitar hero with him & take a turn on the vocals. He hasn't heard me!!!!!!!!
Will certainly hook up with u on FaceBook. Am off to see Pain Consultant this pm 2 tell her the spine injections didn't work. That should be an interesting meeting.

I don't no how I didn't realise my leg had gone 2 sleep, but I honestly hadn't. It is a little easier today, but it's amazing how puffy & bruised it is. The bruise goes right across my foot & underneath. I am trying 2 keep moving it or it will be worse if it stiffens up. I'm run down enough at the moment, didn't really need this on top.

Peeps do still have fancy dress parties, but not that often. I think peeps tend 2 go out more now rather than have parties at home. Only if it is 2 celebrate a speciate anniversary of some kind.

I luv vampires. My girlies on here & FaceBook are very into True Blood & Twilight, but I have always read vampire books since I discovered Anne Rice after Interview with a Vampire. On FaceBook we have our own KOL Clan that play Vampire Wars, great fun. Are u on FaceBook?

Anyway, u carry on enjoying yor work & enjoy dressing up as a vampire. Thank u 4 your kinds thoughts, much appreciated by Miss Accident Prone.

Are your ears burning? I was only thinking about messaging u to see how it was going, but I was in 2 minds cos I didn't want 2 further upset u if things were still bad.

Well, I needn't have worried. That is great & didn't take long. I will keep everything crossed that it will turn into a permanent situation, if u like it enough. Being busy is good, it helps the day pass more quickly. Good 4 u.

I am into the 3rd week of my flu virus so if it hasn't gone by next week I will be going 2 see my GP.
I am going up 2 London with some girlies off this site 2 see the KOL photo exhibition & 2 have a good old natter on Saturday. They are peeps I met at the O2 gig in June. We have been planning it 4 ages & then I did something really stupid last nite. I got up from the PC 2 go 2 bed & didn't realise my leg had gone 2 sleep. I went flying & landed on my tiled floor (which didn't help) with my left foot underneath me. I was awake all nite with the pain & could hardly walk this morning. I have been sitting with frozen veggies on the foot 2 bring out the bruising & swelling. The bruise is covering most of the foot. It is slightly easier 2 walk on so am hoping it will be a little better tomorrow. Typical when I am supposed 2 be going 2 London on Saturday.

We don't make such a big thing of Halloween in the UK. Not like yourselves & the US. Some of it came across from the US but it is mainly just the little children trick or treating.

Anyhow, Trish I am really happy 4 u & I am glad u are actually finding the job interesting.

That was very thoughtful of u to say so. I do get concerned 4 my pals.
I'm sure everything will come right 4 u & I feel we both have 2 stay as positive as we can about our different situations. That is what I try 2 do & just get on with things. Sometimes it is not easy, but that is life, I suppose.

I too hope u have better news 4 me soon & I will be thinking of u & sending u some positive vibes.
