My name is Shannon. I live in an extremely small town in Alabama. People thought I was stupid for being a huge fan of KOL back in 2005 through pretty much this past year. I knew they were amazing, I was just waiting on everyone else to catch on. It really was fate for me and KOL. In 2005 I was invited by a friend to go with her and some of her family to Nashville to see a concert. When I asked who the band was and she said 'Kings Of Leon', I had no idea who they were. She then told me the band were all family members of hers. So I agreed to go and we headed off to Nashville. We stayed at an aunts house in Murfreesboro where we watched home movies of KOL when they were kids singing in church. I didn't really think much of it at the time considering the only song I had ever heard was 'Molly's Chambers'. The concert was the next day (august 20th, 2005). After seeing that concert I was completely blown away. They were a live band like no other. The best that I have ever seen, and still is. After the concert we went backstage to a family room where i got to meet Jared and Nathan.. and their mother too, i think.. and i've accomplished meeting Caleb and Matthew at later concerts.. anyways.... the rest is history. they have been my favorite band ever since.
