about me

Love live music - can't beat it. I listen to music all the time and drive everyone mad 'cos I'm always listening to my ipod. Whatever I listen to, it's gotta be loud.
Go to my local pub in a village called Takeley at the weekends for a few vodkas and meet up with my mates. Even managed get a few more listening to KOL who hadn't heard of them before Only by the Night was released. Four Kicks, King of the Rodeo, Fans, Sex on Fire and Use Somebody are on the jukebox.
Not much more to tell really - don't work at the moment due to ill health, so spend my time on the computer and listening to music.
Got family in New Zealand, Oklahoma and South Africa and friends in Australia and U.S.A. (not sure where!!), so keep in touch with them as much as I can.
Have seen KOL in December 2007, December 2008 and will be seeing them in June 2009 and hopefully many more times to come. Would love to hear from anybody at all.

I am so sorry. I haven't been on here much lately cos I haven't been 2 good over the past couple of months, but I shan't go into that now. I also go on FaceBook so I hop backwards & forwards. Funnily enough I was thinking about u the other day as I hadn't seen u on-line, but wasn't sure about messaging in case u were feeling a bit poorly.

I am so sorry 2 hear about your Father. It sounds as if it wasn't entirely unexpected if he was ill 4 some time, but it certainly doesn't make it any easier. As u say, I have been there so know a little of how u are feeling.

You will have a busy & sad time coming up but please do get in touch when u feel like it & have the time. I am sending u lots of positive thoughts & I shall be thinking about you. Thank you for sparing the time 2 get in touch.

Thank u 4 your kind thoughts. Pain Clinic not done it's job as yet. I've been in pain every day for years, but has got worse as I've got older. I've got so many things wrong on top of the main problem (all during the past 3 yrs) & they all exacerbate each other. I've tried all sorts of alternative therapies to no avail & great cost, plus strong pain killers from the Pain Clinic but no. Surgery is not an option. I have an appt at end of Aug 4 my Pain Consultant 2 give me injections directly into my spine. May work or may not, but it is a last ditch attempt. I am a positive person so usually just get on with life but my ME gives me good & bad days so I often have 2 cancel things, lots of social stuff & sometimes it gets me down a bit.
Sex, drugs & rock 'n' roll, chance would be a fine thing, hun!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm meeting a friend for lunch tomorrow which will be nice as we have lots 2 talk about, but haven't planned anything further than that as yet.
I hope u are feeling well & enjoy yor w/end. Once again I really appreciate yor kind thoughts & yor gentle hugs!!!

Sarah, What a great way to celebrate your 40th. Sounds like you'll have to do it again soon.
You asked about my uni course, I'm off to do 'Environment, Economy and Place' - its a bit geography-like with social research thrown in. Hopefully, I will get a good job afterwards, fingers crossed, as I haven't worked full time since 1998! Thats a bit scary actually :0 By the way, hope you got some sleep in the end, Gemma

Lovely 2 hear fm u. Glad u like my Mona. I hope u are keeping well?
I hate that coming down from a gig thing, u get massive withdrawal & although u can play the CDs it's not quite the same. That was nice to receive flowers as a thank u, as u say u must be doing something right. How lovely.
Haven't seen the guitar smashing episode yet, but I do agree this has been a very long tour & it's not over yet. I think they really do need some down time.
U lucky thing going 2 see Pearl Jam. One of my favs. As usual left it 2 late 2 get tickets unless I wanted to pay £125. At the moment I can't warrant spending that sort of money - I ended up paying £80 each for the KOL tickets. They will def be playing material from 10 cos as it's the anniversary they have brought out a re-mix of the album. U must tell me all about it as I can't go. I do envy u.
One of my pals on here, he lives not 2 far fm me has told me Paul Weller is doing a gig later in the year at the University of Norwich so I may just have 2 investigate cos I so loved his show some weeks back. Then some of my girlie friends off the site & I have tickets to see Pink, but that isn't until Dec, so seems a long way off.
My ME was playing me up last week, & it's always when u have social engagements u are looking forward 2 & have 2 cancel. Typical. Still that's life!!!!!!!!

Hi, 40 seems a big milestone to me, do U think so 2? Hubby is younger than me so that makes it worse and I am going back to uni in Sept and worried about being the oldest on my course. Thinking of getting a tatoo to celebrate. What did you do? By the way you look great, have a lovely weekend, Gem
