about me

Living in Holland. I work as a Design Engineer. Love to draw and paint. However I ain't got the time for that lately. Like to do visit museums with my mother (because no one else will come with me, I wonder why?). I also design and make my own jewellery, a big passion of mine. Love KOL now for a few years.

Hope this finds u well?

I'm getting totally fed up with all this illness business. I have so little energy & I really feel as if I am wasting away. X Rays here are taken, then they have 2 be read by a Radiologist & then they have 2 be sent back 2 your doctor. Usually takes 2 weeks!!!!! If the joint has clicked back into place incorrectly I've been told they may either give me exercises 2 help it or they may do stretching & pulling on the foot 2 get it back where it should be. Will have 2 see next week. All I know is that it isn't correct.

Been out grocery shopping this morning, still very windy here so u are battling against it, but it isn't really cold. Treated myself 2 the Foo Fighters Greatest Hits which has just come out on CD. Can't wait 2 play it.

Well, short breaks are obviously cheaper, as u say. I adore Italy. I'm not a great lover of France & don't have good memories of Paris. I've been 2 quite a lot of places in Italy & 2 Venice several times. I also love the architecture & art. I was upset when I went 2 Florence as although it was end of September it was still really busy & we couldn't get into half the museums or churches. I know 2 friends I used 2 work with who go 2 Florence for a week every year & they go in November. Venice is similar, gets so busy. My tour guide suggested going in November as it is deserted & very romantic with the mist coming off the canals. I know my way around there now & would be quite happy 2 go on my own.
Two years ago my Mother & I went to the Amalfi Coast. That is very beautiful & we had a day in Capri. Fabulous. I also love Tuscany in particular Siena. Then, of course, there is Spain, Portugal, London. All good 4 short, city breaks.
Hope that has given u something 2 ponder on. I no what it is like not 2 have a proper holiday 4 years. When I had my own business I was never away 4 any length of time.

AFTERNOON LOVELY

If u want 2 give the dentist another chance, then of course, u must do so. If u felt he was rather nervous then I think it is only fair u do. I agree that the cinema with a couple of drinks afterwards sounds easier than sitting in a bar or restaurant & trying 2 make conversation. If there is still no connection or it is still difficult then I'd ask him 2 stop calling.
I'm hoping I may get some health issues sorted out next week. I have the ECG booked (again) & I am also seeing the doctor about the virus & my foot. The X Rays should be back by then. I need 2 ask about my flu & swine flu jabs as they are overdue but I cannot have them all the while I feel poorly.
It has been a very odd day here weather-wise. It has been overcast & dark all day with a really gusty wind which u had 2 fight against when u were walking, but the wind was warm!!!!!!!
I live in a small village & about 5 mins drive away there is the start of a huge forest owned by the Forestry Commission. It covers miles. This is where I usually walk Archie. We see lots of rabbits & squirrels, particulary the rabbits in the Summer as they come out on the paths to sun themselves. Then there are deer & partridge & pheasants. We are in pheasant shooting season at the moment & Archie really hates the sound of the guns. Can't wait 2 get back 2 the car quick enough. In part of the forest about 20 mins away is a clearing like a small field & in June & July they hold gigs there. You can take chairs & a picnic & they have well known bands but in a small environment so it is easy 2 get down to the front. I have seen Bryan Ferry (Roxy Music) there, last year I saw Crowded House & this year one of my heroes, Paul Weller (ex of the Jam etc). The Sugar Babes play there a lot, Status Quo & next year I hope to see Simply Red. Much better than seeing these bands in huge stadiums. All very civilised.
You must get on some games on FB. I do far too many, peeps keep asking me 2 join up. How dare your work ask u 2 put yor personal life on hold when u are there. What a cheek!!!!!!!
As to holiday ideas give me a clue. Do u want 2 come 2 London or maybe somewhere in Europe that is warmer ie Italy, Spain or wherever?

U are brave going out with the dentist. He sounds like a total bore, all me, me, me. Typical of a lot of guys only wanting 2 talk about themselves. Funny not wanting 2 talk about anything personal. U don't think he is married do u?!!! I'm glad u managed 2 talk about yourself as he didn't seem 2 be interested. It was probably an ego boost 4 him just 2 be seen with a pretty girl on his arm!!!!!!!! Glad u didn't kiss him, I wouldn't have either. I'm not sure I would even give him another chance if there was no humour, personality or connection there.

My foot is the same, the X Ray results are not back yet. I saw a chiropodist today & she thinks that when I fell I put my ankle joint out & it slipped back in but not correctly. That is why it is still swollen & painful & I hear this clicking sound. Still have the virus & am having the ECG next week. Actually no further forward at all.

Am glad that u are receiving the gifts now on FaceBook, are u doing any of the games?

I hope 2 do some on-line Christmas shopping later. I have just come back from walking Archie in the forest. The sun had gone in & it was deceiving as the wind was quite cold so it wasn't that pleasant. Have 2 go wash my hair now that I am back, as well. It's all go!!!!!
