about me

It's simple, really. I work hard, I'm smart, and I'm very funny (usually!!). I'm nice, but don't mistake "nice" for "weak". I don't trust easily. I forgive, but rarely forget. I don't suffer fools. If you have nothing meaningful or constructive to say, leave me alone. Otherwise, please feel free to leave a note!!

I currently live in Houston. I suppose I'm lucky in that my job allows me to travel the world, and I've been able to see a lot of things and experience many different cultures. Believe it or not, though, sometimes it's just good to be home!!

I discovered KOL through my favorite band, Pearl Jam!! I guess that makes me a late-comer compared to some of you, but that's OK. I'm here now. Some of my other favorite bands include My Morning Jacket, Foo Fighters, Radiohead, Dave Matthews Band, Neko Case, Prince, Alice in Chains, the Beatles, the Stones, Led Zeppelin, Nirvana, and on and on. I'll give anything a listen at least once.

Yeah we haven’t talked in a while !! I hope all is well for you. You must’ve had a GREAT time at the Austin City Limits festival… man you got to see Pearl Jam, KOL, and so many others!! If you want, I’d like to hear all about it !! I read really good reviews from the Rolling Stone articles and all. Hey did you get to check out the Dead Weather?

Since we last talked, well I briefly told you I saw Pearl Jam in Toronto and I saw Kings of Leon in Montreal and Ottawa last month. Great shows. I was just bit disappointed by the setlists, especially in Montreal. They played almost every song off the last album… and kinda skipped out on playing some graet older tunes (although they did play Trani which was awesome)... but the new (and much younger) fanbase seemed to enjoy it all and the guys seemed to enjoy playing, so that's all that matters I guess haha I was still really happy to see them, but honestly it was practically the same show I had seen in Toronto last April. One thing’s cool, after the Ottawa show, I waited around and got to meet Nathan and Caleb ; they were very kind and sweet, I just took a picture with them, had them sign my Aha Shake booklet and said a few things briefly. I’ve been listening to them for so long, it was just really cool to meet them.

So that’s the new stuff on my side. I’m going to see Metallica and also Rob Zombie (2 separate shows) in November. Do you have any shows coming up ?

Exactly !!! We got Pearl Jam opening for Pearl Jam !!!! haha It was f*ckin amazing, I’m so lucky I was at that show !! Even Mike McCready played 2 acoustic songs on which he sang (and he sings beautifully by the way). It was just so amazing !!! The guys were all in great shape and kicked ass as usual !!! And yes, «Of The Girl» is an amazing show opener !! I’m sure your show was awesome last night and I’m sure it’ll be the same tonight. Let me know how they went !!
