about me

I'm a 35 year old Accountant with an extreme passion for music and the personal experiences it can bring to one's life. It started with my overwhelming obsession with Eddie Vedder and Pearl Jam in 1990 (which I still possess), when I experienced first hand what powerful music and lyrics can do if you LISTEN!! I have two children one of which experiences the same passion for music as I. He is two years old and it's obvious music will certainly be an important part of his life. Kings of Leon brought me out out of musical frustration. I needed something new, with heart, soul and true meaning. Not only are they "southern" breed, (which if your from the south you know what a big deal that is), but they possess a powerful passion for feeling and expression. I am very grateful that I clicked on that Rhapsody link that cold day in February, nearly a year ago. It saved me from musical ruin.

I just read a post from you on a profile, and I had to come over and say that I feel the same way about PJ's Ten..I was 13 when I bought it, and it has influenced my taste in music since the first day I listened to it, and I experienced that same feeling again when I first heard ASH....My 2 favorite albums of all time!! Here's to our excellent taste in music! *cheers*

Hey, firstly, thank you for trying to do that list, but sadly the link didn't work because I'm outside the US.
The good news is that Ten has plopped through my letterbox and is on my cd player! The one album I have anyway is Lost Dogs so I already know and love Wash and Dirty Frank

The US shows have been going really well haven't they, and you've got another to look forward to you lucky thing!
Did you meet up with any of the UK fans at the show?

Ha ha, I know what you mean about meeting your heroes. It can be a real mistake. I think that timing is everything in those circumstances. Let's hope if you ever get to meet them the timing will be perfect!

Oh, I forgot to mention before that I've been very backward about it, but have just recently started to truly appreciate Pearl Jam. Was lucky enough to see them at Reading 2007 and enjoyed them very much, but only really got around to giving them an in-depth listen over the last few months. As I'm still a rank beginner in PJ terms I'd be interested to know what your favourite tracks are if you don't mind sharing.
