about me
Why am I a Kings of Leon fan? Because they are honest about their music. Sometimes I sit and wonder how in the world no one knows Kings of Leon and how in the world can anyone dislike them. As I listen to their music, it makes my toes tap against the floor beneath me as I sit or stand through out the day. It makes the palms of me hand slap against the steering wheel and the music of Kings of Leon makes me clinch my fist as if to take hold of something and say "This is mine, and you cannot have it." That is what Kings of Leon's music does to me. Each track goes down to my soul and makes me feel as if I am in the one in the song. I want this band to become the greatest all time, I want this band to be as egotistical as The Rolling Stones, as influential as The Beatles, as heartbreaking as Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers, as known world wide as U2, and as diverse and hold an unknowing power as Bob Dylan. I want to see 40 albums and not one change in the band member line-up. I want to see them from a skybox at Madison Square Garden and then the next night see them face to face in some dingy small club in Greenwich Village. These Tennessee boys are bound for rock and roll glory and I want to watch them every step of the way. But, sometimes I am just as pleased to know that no one else around me likes them like I do and they are my band.

At least there's a record that I love to play, dreaming about a place I'll never see.

I love what you wrote about the Kings. I believe it is possible if they can keep it together and not get caught up in all the materialistic b.s. Some things just shouldn't be streamlined and packaged just perfectly.
hey!

Let me just say...I love the way how you've written your story about being a fan. Truly, no one could've done it better. The part I adore the most starts with 'I want this band to become the greatest all time...'(and ends in the end)
I don't know what to say...it made me speechless apart the thoughts I said before.
I hope your (mine as well) dreams come true and Kings save rock and roll not loosing their selves.
hey

it's brilliant what you wrote,my feelings exactly. hopefully they will become one of the greatest bands of all time but if not at least we know they are the best and we can help others to find out how brilliant the music is.
You said it, brother

Just to reiterate on mjhussey's comment; very well put man. I don't know how I'd survive long drives without Youth or enjoy the rain without Milk or Knocked Up or just get through the day without KOL as my soundtrack. They're definitely going down in history but, like you said, it's comforting to know that you have a band that you can call your own.
Inspiring
