I thought that the show last night was totally vicious. I have seen the KOL play numerous times, and this, like all of their shows, was a great show. I think the band did a great job of connecting with the crowd and playing a good mix of new and old tunes, especially considering the gym was only about 80% full. It was great to hear a mix of tunes from Youth and Aha, the songs that got me into the KOL when I first saw them live back in 2004 at the Cats Cradle in north carolina. I agree that there were a lot of people there that didn't know many of the songs off their first two/three albums, but I didn't pay much attention to that as I was busy keeping a small mosh pit going on the floor, dead center stage about ten feet back from Caleb's mic. There were a couple random college kids that knew every song (like me) and we had a blast jumping around jamming out! You could definitely look around and see who were the die hard fans of the KOL from back when they first put out Youth. There were people dancing and jamming out in the aisles of the seats, which is great to see. And hopefully our enthusiasm will get those people not so familiar curious enough to pick up their old albums and see how amazing that music is. No matter what venue it is, I always say that there could be more dancing and jumping around, and that is the case here, but for the people that were there loving every minute of the set you know who you are and i hope you had as much fun at the show as I did. I'll be looking out for the next KOL show in the near future. Until then keep rocking out and turn the volume up!!!

I saw the Kings in Columbus in January at a very small venue and it was an amazing show; they played a lot of the new stuff and threw in a couple of the older songs. The Pittsburgh show was great because I got to hear a completely different set - one that included a lot of my favorite "older" songs! It's always frustrating to see the "fans" who only know one song, but if it takes one song to get someone to a show and get that person "hooked," then so be it. Great set, good crowd, two thumbs way up!

Unbelievable show! I have been following KOL on their tour since they opened for Pearl Jam in VA Beach last summer, they get better and better everytime I see them. One thing that annoys me are the so called "fans" that only know Sex On Fire or Use Somebody, people please do some research and dig into the entire KOL catalog. Just because this last album is becoming so commercialized doesn't mean it is their best body of work! It's almost doing KOL an injustice that they are known for these two songs in particular. I think its great that the fan base is growing but at least educate yourselves on the entire body of work the band has put out. I have been a fan since 2004-2005 and I can tell you some of their older songs are "great music" pay the band that bit of respect and get to know more, you will be impressed. They mixed in some great songs from the past that people had no idea what they were playing, I heard a girl in the crowd say "I've never heard this song, I don't know it, it must be new" that was during California Waiting. I'm glad people are getting to appreciate the band, but please just check out all of their music before you want to go to a concert and brag about how big a fan you are. I am not bashing "new fans" I welcome you people just like all the other fans.

It was a great mix of all 4 albums, although I wish some of the B-Sides would get played live, that would be the shit. Talihina Sky, Head to Toe or Where Nobody Knows would be awesome too! Never have a seen a bad live performance from the Kings!

The Kings just revived the music scene here in Pittsburgh, and I am looking so forward to more future shows here in the Burgh. If not I will continue traveling and following the band wherever I can.
