These guys were just incredible at JazzFest!! It was my first time seeing them in concert, and it was everything I expected and more. Their awesome live sound is a testament to their musicianship, and of course, Caleb's impeccable voice doesn't hurt. They kicked off the set with "Crawl", a good opening number that got the crowd going. They did all the fan favorites (Sex on Fire, Use Somebody, On Call, The Bucket, etc), but I was glad to hear Molly's Chambers, Four Kicks, Notion, and Be Somebody. I also very much enjoyed Fans and Knocked Up. I would've liked to have heard King of the Rodeo and Revelry, but I understand that it was a shorter set than most, and their festival sets are modified versions of their usual ones. I was delightfully surprised, though, to hear Cold Desert - Caleb portrayed such raw emotion that I was near tears. Overall, it was such an incredible experience. I am absolutely going to see them again; I just hope they come back to Louisiana on their next tour! They have so many fans here that love them!
