2009/5/13 - Kings of Leon to Perform at MTV Movie Awards

Today MTV announced that Kings of Leon will be performing at the 2009 MTV Movie Awards on May 31. The event will be hosted by SNL's Andy Samberg and Kings of Leon are slated to perform "Use Somebody."

I agree w/some of the people here. I would've rather you guys performed a song other than Use Somebody and Sex on Fire. If it has to be from the new album then other songs like Notion & Manhattan would've been awesome.

Another thing, I read something this morning about KOL (particularly Caleb) not being too enthused about their fame in the U.S. I'm not quite sure how to take that, maybe I am taking it out of context but I was sorely disappointed when I read it. I took you guys for being proud of America- born and bred. I understand that your fame started in Europe (and Australia) and the fan base back home for you guys was small but regardless we're still your fans. It almost feels as if the American fans are being treated as the 'step-child'. I would love a little clarification on this from you guys (Caleb, Jared, Nathan and Matt Followill). I've been a loyal fan for quite some time now and I'm hoping that it stays that way.

I never watch the music awards because they always have the same kind of music. This year I will definetly watch! I love Caleb he so dreamy. yum
