Acer Arena ~ Sydney 21st March

Ok i will pre warn you all again now i know how to ramble lol
So as most of you know i saw the Kings for the very first time in my home town of Adelaide 12 days ago now... completely blew me away so much so that i decided that a trip to Sydney must be in order to try and see these boys again!! First thing was to convince my fiancee Scott who may i add..isnt a KOL fan! We have been together for nearly 14 years and never left the state together let alone leaving our 3 girls alone together either so was a bit of a big thing for me to be even suggesting this random weekend away 5 days before the actual event lol Luckily for me scott realises that once i have an idea in my head i aint easily budged from it and agreed to my whirl wind trip to Sydney! i found some awesome tickets on ebay which i purchased Monday night..the gig was saturday...original sell price was $91 and i paid $275 each but knowing how good these boys where the whole cost of the weekend was most definately worth it! Then came the wait of hoping these tickets would arrive in time..seriously, i was a mess..hoping this ebay seller was in fact a genuine person and not just taking me for a ride and hoping for dear life that these tickets would turn up on time. Thank you god and i aint a religious person but ThursdaY mOrning those special, amazing tickets did indeed show up in my letterbox!! Scott delivered them to me at work and the smile on my face has not left since lol Finally i had those most awesome tickets in my hand and i was off to see the most talented foursome ever live again WOOHOO!!!! In the space of 5 days i managed to find a babysitter for our girls for the weekend ~ thanks Mum! ~ organise flights, find accomodation, pack and get those tickets off ebay, all whiklst going to work aswell...the things i would do for these guys lol
Saturday morning came and i was so sad to be leaving my gorgeous girls but also so incredibly excited to be seeing my boys..as i like to call them lol...again!! Listened to KOL on the way over just to get me even more in the mood..I think Scott was beginning to think he had gone away for the weekend with a complete crazy person as i was in total KOL mode...ARGH!!! Bring on the boys!!!!
Fnally the time arrived to get ready and head over to Acer Arena ~ We stayed at the Novotel hotel which was just down the road from the arena. I got ready in my jeans and KOL top and off we headed, bought a couple more KOL Tshirts and a bag, got a couple of drinks and headed over to our seats. Simply amazing seats!!! even better than what i was expecting..we were so close to the stage, i was so excited just looking at the stage picturing how Matty, Nathan, Jared and Caleb would look being so close *sigh* Ok..I know its all about the music but seriously...4 of the most gorgeous guys on the planet!!! We waited, listened to The Stills..who i must say are pretty damn good!..then we waited some more...each tme someone entered that stage was met with a gasp from the crowd lol Finally the lights dimmed, my stomach went berserk, my excitement went into overdrive..since i had been sitting there nervously twictching in my seat ever since The Still's finised there set lol....and there they were..Caleb, Jared, Matthew and Nathan...My guys..KIngs Of Leon..and there they were!! WOO FUCKIN HOO!!!! The feeling you get when they all walk out on that stage is simply indescrible..if you have ever seen them live before you will know but if you havent it is so hard to explain...the way these boys get into us true fans hearts and then seeing them standing there so close is just amazing and a totally mindblowing experience and they havent even hit a note yet lol
Sydney crowd ~ you were amazing!!!! Anyone who reads this from the Acer Arena gig give yourselves a big pat on the back cos we were damn f*ckin good!!!! I was in the seating area but everyone was standing and singing and dancing when the boys started playing..a few people sat down during songs but i am proud to say that i did not sit..how could you sit??!! This was KINGS OF LEON!!!!!! By the end of it i was hot, sweaty and my throat was a bit hoarse from dancing and singing so much but it as so worth it!!!!The atmosphere was electric and those boys loved it. Caleb once again was amazing with the crowd..his interaction is f*ckin awesome and really makes you love him just that much more! Everytime he said "We're Kings Off Leon" the whole place errupted...these boys are well loved and yeah, some of them may be sex on fire people..hell i was a sex on fire person except the next day i downloaded as many songs of theirs as i could find and went out and bought all 4 albums..and yeah, sex on fire got the best response from the crowd..when the boys played that man the place was amazing!!! I dont think there was one person in the whole arena that wasnt singing along with Caleb!!! but the boys older stuff gotta a lot of gratitude too which you could tell the guys appreciated. The different songs from the adelaide playlist were the boys took out "closer" and "Cold desert" and replaced them with "red morning light" and "california waitng" I would have loved to have heard cold desert again as that was one of my fav songs from the adelaide gig but damn, i love "red morning light"!!! and it f*ckin rocked!!! Ok before i go further...serious sex god rock and roll moment of the evening goes to Caleb and Jared..at the end Of Black Thumbnail which was the last song of the night Csleb kicked his microphone stand over which was awesome..he seemed so lost in the song that just this kick put so much more emotion in the song and then at the end Jared slung his guitar off and whacked it into the stage!! Such a rock and roll moment and i loved it!!!!
Back to the rest of the show....Once again delivered beautifully, Matty. Caleb and Jared all had glasses of wine on stage whilst Nath had his beer and was blowing his bubblegum. All the boys looked amazing...Nath had no shirt on just a black vest..WOW and im a Jared girl

Matt was looking pretty damn hot in his black skull Tee too, Caleb looked freakin amazing in jeans and a check shirt with a few buttons undone *swoon* and Jared..my Jared..he had a long sleeved cardigan type thing on for most of the show but when they came back on from their intermission he'd taken it off and just had a short sleeve black tee on *thud* Damn! Control yourself not to rush the stage and grab the man Tanya...your fiancee is present lol The boys rocked it massively..so so good!!! And as Caleb said we make them feel so so good and damn guys..you made me feel pretty damn good too!!! And big WOOHOO to the aussie fans...Caleb said they are thinking of making Australia there second home and thanked us all for being so welcoming!! Anytime boys ..anytime ~ if you want my address for a visit i'll be more than happy to give it to you

So heres hoping since we made rather a good impression that the boys will visit our shores regularely and i dont know about the rest of you but next time they come to Aus i am so going to every gig!! How bout it Leahoz??? Me and you following the KOL boys around Australia

In closing.. I had a fantastic weekend, Scott and I didnt kill each other spending so much time together without kids lol, my girls can survive without us for the weekend, i want to move interstate and i have a massive love affair with the KOL guys happening!!!
Caleb, Jared, Nathan and Matthew ~ You guys are amazing!!!! I love the laid backness of you guys drinking on stage, Nathan blowing bubbles with his bubblegum and Matty smoking his cigarette on stage, I love the fact that Caleb has the most amazing voice in the world,,he has such control over it and yet when he really lets go is when he sounds most awesome much to the disagreeance of my fiancee! but i find raw, just let it go Caleb much more appealing. i dont know if its the emotion behind it or just the sheer awesomeness that is his voice but boy, the man can do some very good things to me with his voice lol After you see these guys live you have such a greater appreciaton for their music and love hem all the more..well i know i do.
Im going to go or i will be here forever...Caleb, Jared, Matty and Nathan ~ Love, Love, Love you guys!!!! Thankyou for what you bring to each and everyone of us fans through your music and for being who you are. Dont ever change, you guys are amazing!!! Thankyou for what you guys have bought to my life since i heard your music for the first time and was blown away..yeah, i am a massive KOL fan for life!!!

It sounds like you had the best time, so happy for you. What a lovely fiancee you must have to be so accomodating with your love for KOL.

I am soo up for following/stalking them on their next tour it will be good to have a KOL buddy rather than travelling this country alone. Bring on the next tour!!!

as a mother to you have done something I did a few years ago be yourself for a night. I love my daughter and I know you love yours but sometimes you need to let your hair down and have some you time. They will love for it. Its seems you took so much more in this time and I cant wait till I see them again in June as I was too blown away to remember everything the 1st time I saw them. You rock x x

My 1st KOL live experience will be in May - and I think I'll just copy and paste into my blog all that you just said. Can so relate to the dragging the guy around and LOVE how he goes along and you just live your moment regardless!
