Acer Arena.....21st March 2009.........

My 19 yr old son (named Leon...yes really) got me tickets for KOL as a 50th birthday pres.

All tickets had sold out within minutes so he resorted to buying them from e-bay..at $210 per ticket(the original price was $91).I was so pleased that he would do that for me...you hope your kids are going to be kind and generous.

...About 3 weeks passed and the tickets hadn't come so he tried to contact the seller...no answer!!! Then finally he answered our E-mail and said that ticketec had posted them and they were lost in the mail

Well, as any good Mother would do...I threw a massive hissy fit and told Leon "get your F***ing money back...this guy is a crook..."Best Son in the World" would not hear of it ... he told me
"No Mum the seller said trust me"...sooooo, again,as any good Mother would ...I had a secret hissy fit, and hoped this seller would not treat my son badly!!!!!!!! That was December!!!!
On 18th March Leon phoned the seller...."yes, yes I will meet you outside Acer Arena at 5.30pm on the night".
Sooooooooo, with a little (OK a lot) of excitement we drove 2 hours up the coast with a KOL banner, a new camera and our coolest clothes.

We rang the seller at 5.20pm...."so sorry...the train is running late...I'll be 30 mins"...he said. I thought I did very well at this point not to hit the nearest passer-by...I only rolled my eyes (behind my sunglasses)...and waited with my ever confident son...and waited...and waited till an hour passed!!!Well I (known to cross lines) said "son you had better ring this prick back".Leon got his phone out of his pocket....and the bloody thing rang in his hand...and walking towards us with a phone to his ear was THE most gorgeous man you have ever seen....OMG...our seller.He loped over,shook Leon's hand and apologised for the mix up and handed us the tickets to the most exciting night I have ever had!!!(well, for a looooong time).

Leon (the confident) only shrugged and there I was jumping up and down like a little kid...people were looking at me like I was a crazy woman....I DON'T care...

....I was really going and I was so excited I nearly cried!!!
At 6.30pm out came the "TOUR FINLAND KOL" banner for Queen KAT. I tied it around myself hoping J2tan and Amy would spot me. We had some food and a few drinks (not many...I wanted to remember everything) and went into Acer Arena. Leon has seen a lot of gigs there but I never had and ...OMG...what an impessive venue! It holds 21 thousand people and it was sold out!
The Stills were good and the butterfly's with boots in my tummy were working overtime! They finished and the stage was being set for KOL. Everytime they tested the drums everthing would go quiet for a second and then a mighty roar from the crowd ...spine tingling stuff!!!
At about 9pm everthing went dark, the crowd went berserk and the intro to Crawl started...and I cried...

...I had waited since I brought YAMH to see these guys!!! The crowd was singing and everyone was up and dancing....I was absolutely awestruck...I danced,I sweated and I sang till I lost my voice(my evil husband is happy about that) I had the time of my life.
KOL looked like they enjoyed themselves and (Kat) you should have seen Nathan...he was wearing little black vest and it was open ....OMG ...his muscles...such a hunk!!!
They thanked us for being a great crowd and they went off...after 21 thousand stomped their feet and yelled for more they came out with 4 more songs.

This has been one of the best times I've ever had (and my beautiful son was with me)
PS....the only problem....new camera...150 pics taken...bad lighting...and all I got was 3 pretty bad pics.
Note....alas Kat ...not one good pic of the banner...so sorry.

AND...Leigh (Mistress of the Art of Meeting KOL)...police and security put an end to my KOL stalking...so not fair...

I know I go on and on

but this night was AWESOME.

aww yur son bought you ticketss. how sweett,. OMG. i cant believe you named him leon. thats awesomee.
i went to the KOL concert on thursday night (sydney entertainment centre)
and it was just amazing.
im glad you had fun and haha you should try and stalk the boys next time they come. i will help you

Your son is AWESOME!!! AWWWWW that was soo nice to read! I bought the tickets on ebay too as a gift for myself and it cost me $250 for the GA tickets!

I went by myself too!
I was told the arena could fit 12000 people I didn't know it was 21000. WOW!! OMG I'm remembering it again through your story....IT WAS A GREAT NIGHT!
