Nightime woes....

As I curled up in my bed, nice warm thoughts in my head
and all around me, music playing softly in the background,
I drifted into slumber letting it take me willingly.

Then the dreams came as they have all week, so far they have been gentle, so far the have been meek and tonight began like the others, of family members and fun but in one twisted moment it decided to turn.

A horrible nightmare, hitting me right where it hurts, choosing a subject I am afraid of, making my stomarch lurch.

As i sit here awake, trying to shake it's gripping hold, shake the fair and the nausea, trying to get back into the fold, of comfort and peace, so that I can go back to sleep, I still have the horrible images making me want to weep.
