Oasis @ Wembley 11th July 2009....

Okay okay so Im a little delayed on the blog, but Im suffering from a cold brought on by getting totall drenched on Saturday at the gig....not fishing for sympathy haha.
But the rain def did not dampen our spirits as the gig was amazing. Only negative was that The Enemy didnt play due to illness (Noel said Tom better have a sick note from his mam LOL). So we had slightly longer sets from Reverence and the Makers and Kasabian, so Im not complaining.
We arrived slightly later then expected just before the gates opened, but surprised to see the queue was tiny....so as we went to go all Zola Budd onto the pitch to get to the front...we were ushered up the side of the pitch, into the illustrious Golden Circle!!! They obviously knew they had us gig royalty coming haha, but as I dont usually like stadium gigs (too big and impersonal), it was amazing to be right at the front of an 80,000 capacity venue! Lucky us!
Crowd was lukewarm for Rev and the Makers but the singer was total eyecandy and my hubbie feel in love with the keyboard player (she's a girl dont worry) so not all bad.
Kasabian ....well what can I say??? OMG if you have never seen these guys, you HAVE to get tickets for their next gigs (I have!!!). They were just awesome, a real mix of songs from all 3 albums....Club Foot and Processed Beats and Empire complete stonkers of tunes. Then loads from the new album.....Fire of course, Fast Fuse was rocking. At one point I looked round to see everyone in the Circle dancing their asses off like they were at a rave (only far far better music).
They were soooo good I wasnt sure how Oasis could top them to be honest....but they did of course. Best British band of the past decade, no contest whatsoever. Liam was in good form for a change and dedicated a song to Noel (our kid) and told the crowd 'I dont go in for all that 'your the best fans in the world', you're the best f***ing human beings in the world'!!! Noel was the king as always, said he couldnt be arsed to sing Dont Look Back in Anger and got the whole stadium singing it....totally spine tingling that one.
All in all,an amazing gig, best Oasis gig Ive been to....we left happy, throats sore from singing, legs aching from dancing, tired, drenched, covered in beer, pee you name it....haha, but a good time was had by all.
And whats more Oasis are KoL fans too......so cant be bad eh???
Muchos love x

No sympathy for you! Just a lot of envy! I wanted more than anything to fly over just to experience Oasis at Wembley. Went to the Chicago gig for the Dig Tour and it was "top-notch."
Need an American fan-mate?? Haha
More info on the song dedication to Noel? New song?
Get yourself better from the gig
