What a night

It started really good, but ended really bad!

First of all, it was the hottest night ever, but it didnt stop me from dancing and singing, seriously lost a few kilos tonight!
It took a pretty long time to soundcheck everything after Glasvegas went of stage! I think there were a few problems with the guitars!

But then finally KOl came on, woohoo! Everything was fine, Caleb saying the usual stuff of people only knowing Sex on Fire and Use Somebody, and he said we were a funny crowd, dont really know what he meant by that! He said that he knew it was friggin hot and that we all were hot but we should make a great f*cking party tonight! Hell yeah...

I was standing about ten rows from the stage, pretty good view on Caleb and Matt!! But there were a few people in the middle who made a pit or something and were bumping into each other, which was okay, if they didnt get to close to me

!!
I was singing and dancing the whole time, really enjoying the concert! I do think i was one of the few people who knew all the songs but i didnt get the idea that the other people didnt like it, they were all pretty cheery!! Caleb also said all the people should stand up! I couldnt see much of the 2 rings so i cant say if people were sitting the whole time!

Then the boys played Use Somebody, everybody was singing along of course, that was a pretty awesome thing to hear! But after that they went of stage, and so i thought cool, now there gonna come back and play a few more songs, but all of a sudden the lights went on and the crew was starting to build of the stage!!Nooooooo, everyone was singing 'we want more' for a while!! They didnt come back...

! I was really confused, thinking that maybe the crowd wasnt good enough for them or maybe the heat was getting too much!!

So we went home, and sitting in the car listening to radio 3 FM dj Eric Corton and he said something about someone throwing a beer bottle at KOL so they stopped playing! There were some English guys (no offense to all the english fans here) who threw it when they where walking of stage or something! The dj also said somethin bout Caleb not havin a good day and the sound not being all perfect!! So maybe all that together made them not play the encore!!

I mean, oh my god, why are there always people out there who think its funny to throw things at bands! How rude and disrespectful! I believe something like that also happened at the HMH in Amsterdam last februari! What will KOL think of the dutch crowd now!!?? Im really embarrassed and angry that this had to happen the first time i went to see the Kings!!
But Im not letting all of this get to me, cuz damn i had a great time! It was so amazing to see them live and they really didnt disappoint!!!!
I just wouldve loved to hear Knocked Up and Black Thumbnail and give them a huge applause and waving them goodbye at the end!!!!!!!!

Was at the the O2 on 30th June 2009 and it was amazing, have a look at my vids on youtube if you want -> they played Black Thumbnail there and I recorded it ;-) they really rocked http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kaXHL6SJIpM

...i feel bad for you that they got off so early and didn't play an encore...when i was looking at the vids from ahoy on youtube i also got the impression that the crowd really had a good time...despite calebs constant bitching (never mind cause he looked very sexy doing it ;-)))).

have you heard that there will be a Live-DVD from their show on 30th june in the O2 in london??? not the same as a live concert but at least something...like calebs voice live even better than on cd!!!

Toen hebben ze o.a. nog Knocked Up gespeeld.
Vele malen beter dan Ahoy.

Ik kan alleen maar hopen dat ze snel terug komen en dat dat een beter show wordt.

Even in het Nederlands hoor.

Zo ging het ook in de HMH inderdaad, nou ja deels dan. Daar liepen ze ook zo maar weg ze zwaaiden niet even of zo.En ok geen toegift. Ik was toen helemaal stom verbaast en teleurgesteld over het einde. En toen werd er alleen bier gegooid, gelukkig. Ik heb ook gemerkt dat iedereen anders over het publiek, sfeer en de show denkt. Ik denk ook dat het een beetje botst tussen het Nederlandse publiek en KOL,maar alleen door deze 2 shows. Al hoewel Nederlander wereldwijd bekent staan om hun feest kunsten en KOL nog niet zo lang geleden ook.
Nou laat dit alles je na pret en de volgende shows niet bederven.

again you have explained the night so well and not disrespecting the kings in any way xxx thank you for your blog and feel so disapointed for you not getting your encore and it is so very annoying those who think it is funny to throw stuff on stage, it winds me up all the time at festivals etc and it's embarrassing as a fan....they won't judge your country on the lame people who do it...it is the individual person who is the twat for doing it, not anything to do with nationality xxx I hope next time you get your encore xxx

thanx everybody for commenting! I did have a good time, they were really good! You should read the blog too, theres more info on the beer incident! Caleb was pretty pissed about it! F*cking assholes who threw beer at him! I was up till 4 am last night, writing about on the forum with a few others! When i went to bed i still couldnt sleep cuz of all the things goin through my head, wanting to say so much more!!

There's a dutch review on a newspaper website, they dont even say anything bout beer being thrown, just saying they left cuz the crowd was bad and they didnt notice that everybody was actually havin a good time!!People get a wrong impression of the band like that!!
Oh btw, someone commented on that review and said Caleb even was flipping the audience of at one point! I have to say i thought i saw him doin that too but cant be sure! Hope he didnt!

Near the end Caleb did apoligize for bein an asshole and saying they were very appreciative of all the fans and we're still the best fans in the world!!So i do think Caleb eventually noticed we all had a good time, maybe apart from some people sitting!
