The reason behind me wanting to get away...

Well...firstly, my dad, the only person in the world who can make me feel bad whenever i see him, even though i do nothing wrong to him! this father's day it was my friends 18th birthday, which to me is more important than fathers day (especially when your dad cares about himself more than you, plus he doesnt live with me) i txt him before i leave to go paintballing saying happy fathers day etc and hear nothing all day, until he calls me a "tosser" and says that it was nice of me to go see him, even though i explained why, so today i go to work with him, he doesnt even acknowledge me for 4 hours, and only asks aout my friend who owes him money, i then tell him ive got him a fathers day card and present (although i have absolutely no money and car insurance is due) in my car and will give it to him at lunch, he simply says "shove it up your arse, maybe next year you'll remember" so all today i felt completely shit.
Next on the list is next week, well i was supposed to go to Alton Towers, but cant afford to and my mum said we would go see kol instead, Brilliant! oh no...turns out i cant see kol now cos i have to save up for uni and it turns out every single one of my friends is now going to alton towers and i am unable to go, so i have a lonely week next week.
As for uni, which i doubt i'll get in because i did shit in my exams, and my dad keeps getting on at me for not going to the uni he wants me to go to and the course he wants me to do, anyway i just found out i didnt get into halls of residence so i have to now go househunting and find new people to share a house with, on the opposite side of the country, what if they dont like kol?!?!

sorry to go on, but to me this is the only place i can do this sort of stuff, if you did read all that thank you

Ha I guess I'm not the only person with a dead beat dad. My dad left when I was only 2yrs old and I've only seen him 3 times. He lives all the way on the other side of the US so it had been 10 yrs since I had seen him, and when I was there he wanted me to take a 2 hr cab ride to see him cuz he was too "tired" to drive to me. I told him off and haven't spoken to him since. I wish it wasn't like that but I'd rather have a father that pays some attention(even if it isn't much) than no father at all.

I know! mine got married and only invited his bestfriend i found out a week later, he also enjoys going away to thailand for long periods of time, he went away for a year once and it upset me but then i got over it, if he wants to piss off then thats his problem. He's also building a house in thailand currently so should be gone soon.

I read it all

Dads can be a real pain in the arse! Mine lives in Manchester and knows im going tomorrow and never offered to let me stay with him so now i have to get the train back which leave at 1am and doesn't get back to swansea until 9am. Which wouldn't be that bad but i haven't seen my dad since Christmas and he still doesn't want to see me. Also he got married and didn't tell me until 3 days after the event! So now i have a whole bunch of step-brothers and sisters, i don't actually know how many of them there are or what half of them are called!

Don't worry about uni everything will sort out, it always does. Just keep smiling
