Congratulations to the Kings of Leon for being a nominee in both the iTunes Best Song and Album 2009.
The chart toping smash hits ‘Sex on Fire’ and ‘Use Somebody’ have been nominated for the iTunes ‘People’s Choice’ Song of the Year. The multi-platinum selling ‘Only By Night’ has been nominated for the iTunes ‘People’s Choice’ Album of the Year.
The most popular picks from Facebook fans will be named iTunes ‘People’s Choice’ Song and Album of the year.

Auf ihrer am 30. Juni diesen Jahres in der Londoner O2 Arena aufgenommenen ersten Live-DVD zeigen die Kings Of Leon eindrucksvoll, warum sie als eine der besten Live-Bands der Welt gelten. 140 Min lang spielen sich die Followills quer durch das Repertoire ihrer vier Alben und begeistern von der ersten Minute an die Fans in der ausverkauften Halle. USA Today hat einen Megaartikel über die Kings Of Leon am Start. Natürlich geht es erstmal darum, dass der Erfolg in den USA für KOL ziemlich lange auf sich warten ließ.
Und dann verraten Nathan und Caleb im Interview, was sich schon für die neue Scheibe angesammelt hat, und wie sie sich anhören wird. Die Followills wollen keinen neuen Hit a la "Sex On Fire" rausbringen:
Nathan: "We're not stupid. We know that there are people out there who are only interested in hearing Sex on Fire. But we're doing something different. We've got eight to 10 songs, none of them like Only By the Night. We'll never put a song on a record that couldn't stand up on its own as a single."
Caleb: "We have a lot of fun, uptempo songs. We also wrote one of the prettiest country songs I've ever heard, and if it doesn't make the album, I'll use it on a solo album."
Was auch immer dabei rauskommen mag – momentan geießen die Jungs ihren Erfolg: "We're on cloud nine. And to be able to share all this with your flesh and blood is the best thing."
